Service Description
Communication in any setting is how we get things done, engage with others, and express our feelings. It involves face-to-face conversations, emails, chat messages, videoconferencing, phone calls, and other methods used to convey information in the workplace. People with different backgrounds, experiences, and identities communicate differently but want to accomplish the same goals. Communicating across cultures is essential in creating a more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workplace, where conscious and unconscious bias is reduced, people are better understood, treated more fairly, and work is accomplished. When we can communicate across cultures, we can provide services to our internal (co-workers) and external (clients) customers and achieve the mission and goals of our organization effectively. The Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®) provides valuable information about your mindset/skillset toward cultural differences and commonalities.
